Join us for a hands-on, rewarding day! We're transforming recycled materials into a vital exterior notice board to better inform our locals about events, opportunities, and available resources. This is a start-to-finish project, so you’ll see the immediate, tangible results of your hard work!
Your Day's Activities
- You'll be involved in every stage of this sustainable construction project:
- Resource Sourcing: Sorting through the wood pile to select the best materials.
- Construction Prep: Cutting and arranging wood for the build.
- Guided Sustainable Construction: Working with our team to build the board using sustainable methods.
- Finishing Touches: Decoration, painting, varnishing, final positioning, and fitting.
What to Wear & Bring
Since the event is outside, please wear warm and robust clothing. Note that clothes may get damaged from wood, varnish, or paint during the activities.
Crucially, please bring your own safety shoes. We have spares on-site, but without appropriate footwear, we may have to limit you to non-wood moving tasks.
