Free Creative Workshop with Artist Ioana (Artizine)

What stories live inside us and the places we inhabit? What memories do we carry, and how do we keep them alive?

Join artist Ioana for this hands-on creative workshop exploring the idea of archives. Forget the image of dusty boxes or museum files—we believe an archive can be living, personal, and full of feeling.

Your Story is Our History

We’ll use zine-making (DIY self-published booklets) as a playful, powerful tool for self-archiving and giving people a voice. Using collage, writing, and drawing, you’ll spend this session crafting your own unique zine.

This is your space to document your everyday experiences and reflections, exploring fundamental questions like: Can an archive truly be messy, handmade, or emotional? Your creation will help connect your personal stories to the rich local history of the Tate Institute.

Who Should Join?

No art experience needed! Just bring your curiosity and a passion for sharing your stories. We encourage you to bring along friends, family, or any personal ephemera, photographs, or memories you have of living in the area to inspire your zine.

This is a FREE event but please quickly grab a ticket using the button above.

➡️ Note on Attending:

You do not need to attend both sessions. This workshop is a complete experience on its own.

Want to do more? Session 2 is dedicated to co-designing the Zine-Making Toolkit—a tangible guide that will live on at ReInstate and in local libraries. If you want to contribute to this ongoing project legacy, please also sign up for Session 2.
