REinsTate - The Tate Institute
A Victorian community hub currently being restored in Silvertown, East London, originally built by Sir Henry Tate in 1887 for sugar factory workers.
This historic building will feature:
- Enterprise Hub - Collaborative workspace for social enterprises and start-ups
- Workshop & Event Spaces - Flexible areas for community workshops, meetings, and cultural events
- Creative Studios - Affordable workspace for artists and makers
- Community Garden - Outdoor growing spaces and green areas
- Subsidised Café - Social gathering space with affordable refreshments
Using reclaimed materials, this sustainable, net-zero carbon space combines heritage conservation with cutting-edge sustainability. Part of the ReSpace Alliance network, all spaces operate on proven principles: accessible, collaborative, and designed to "reuse waste, reduce inequality, and rebuild community."

Heavy bass. Reclaimed space. Community power. This Saturday in Silvertown. 🏗️✨
We're throwing open the doors to the REinsTate Project, a "human energy home" built on grassroots creativity.
We're linking up with a huge crew of friends and artists from 2pm to 11pm. Expect comfy sofas, a grand hall, and seriously good energy.
The Vibe: Common sense → Common ground → Common knowledge.
Expect a raw, heartical, homely, bass-driven journey through dub, reggae, post-punk, hip-hop, jungle and beyond. Heavy rhythms, DIY spirit, global underground sounds, and super sound powered by Obrigado Sound System. 🔊

Or bring a resource instead. Help the space grow: a rucksack, winter coat, lamp, plants, tools, or even a box of screws. Every contribution builds something bigger.
