Using reclaimed materials, this sustainable, net-zero carbon space combines heritage conservation with cutting-edge sustainability. Part of the ReSpace Alliance network, all spaces operate on proven principles: accessible, collaborative, and designed to "reuse waste, reduce inequality, and rebuild community."

Join us for a proper community celebration in Silvertown while we renovate the historic Tate Institute, a Victorian social facility built in 1887 for sugar factory workers and their families.
Here's what you can expect:
- 🍖 Bring your own BBQ food + BYOB to grill and share.
- 🍹 We'll have a non-alcoholic bar accepting donations for the Single Homeless Project, a charity that supports over 10,000 people a year.
- 🎧 Beginners DJ Workshop from 12:00-13:30, where you can learn to use CDJs and play on our soundsystem.
- 🎶 DJs and live acts will be providing the soundtrack all afternoon in the yard.
This is a chance to enjoy good music and good people while supporting a great cause. You'll also get to see the restoration work in progress and meet the team behind it all.
