A Victorian community hub currently being restored in Silvertown, East London, originally built by Sir Henry Tate in 1887 for sugar factory workers.

This historic building will feature:

  • Enterprise Hub - Collaborative workspace for social enterprises and start-ups
  • Workshop & Event Spaces - Flexible areas for community workshops, meetings, and cultural events
  • Creative Studios - Affordable workspace for artists and makers
  • Community Garden - Outdoor growing spaces and green areas
  • Subsidised Café - Social gathering space with affordable refreshments

Using reclaimed materials, this sustainable, net-zero carbon space combines heritage conservation with cutting-edge sustainability. Part of the ReSpace Alliance network, all spaces operate on proven principles: accessible, collaborative, and designed to "reuse waste, reduce inequality, and rebuild community."

Join us for the Summer All4Free giveaway. You will find a huge variety of items available to take home, ranging from baby items, kid's clothes and school uniforms to toys, books and games. Browse through shoes, smart and leisure wear in all sizes and styles, along with bric-a-brac, small electric gadgets and kitchenalia. It is a relaxed afternoon designed for everyone, featuring a kid's play area and a quiet nursing area to support families. Take your time looking through what is on offer and enjoy light refreshments and a BBQ while you are here. If you have items to pass on, donations are accepted on the day from 10am, or by prior arrangement by emailing [email protected].
