DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of Not Alone Anymore\, a documentary exploring the life of Marlee Matlin. From becoming the first deaf actor to win an Academy Award to her work as an author and activist\, the film challenges an industry unprepared for her talent.\nThis event is part of PictureEast Film Festival 2026. A dynamic celebration of film\, culture and community in East London. Curated by local creative voices and presented by The New Black Film Collective in partnership with Film London\, this festival champions bold cinematic storytelling and community engagement across Newham and Barking &amp\; Dagenham.\nThe screening is subtitled and followed by a Q&amp\;A with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation.
