Flute and Bansuri Masterclass

Join us for an intimate three-hour workshop with a Grammy-nominated bansuri master, open to all ages and instruments.

Aug 19
Flute and Bansuri Masterclass - Flyer

About

Join us in the room with Grammy-nominated bansuri master Pandit Ajay Prasanna for a rare evening of musical teaching.

Carrying the Banaras Gharana lineage of his father Pandit Bholanath Prasanna, whose students include Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, he brings three generations of knowledge shaping breath into a raga.

You will explore breath and swara, the unfolding of the alap, phrasing techniques like meend and kan, and the underlying taal cycle. After opening with a short recital, Pandit Prasanna will teach, offer one-to-one feedback on your playing, and take questions on technique and the tradition itself.

With refreshments provided and access to the KalaSudha learning community included, it is a welcoming space for all ages to learn together. Find out more and reserve your spot at https://kalasudha.com/event/bansuri-workshop-london-pandit-ajay-prasanna to make sure you do not miss out.
