A Victorian community hub currently being restored in Silvertown, East London, originally built by Sir Henry Tate in 1887 for sugar factory workers.

This historic building will feature:

  • Enterprise Hub - Collaborative workspace for social enterprises and start-ups
  • Workshop & Event Spaces - Flexible areas for community workshops, meetings, and cultural events
  • Creative Studios - Affordable workspace for artists and makers
  • Community Garden - Outdoor growing spaces and green areas
  • Subsidised Café - Social gathering space with affordable refreshments

Using reclaimed materials, this sustainable, net-zero carbon space combines heritage conservation with cutting-edge sustainability. Part of the ReSpace Alliance network, all spaces operate on proven principles: accessible, collaborative, and designed to "reuse waste, reduce inequality, and rebuild community."

Join us at REinsTate (The Tate Institute) this Saturday for a massive cross-border cultural exchange! We’re celebrating Medallion Man’s 32nd birthday with an all-day marathon of electronic music, underground film, and community spirit.

Bringing together artists and collaborators from across Europe, this event transforms the Silvertown community hub into a vibrant space for music lovers and film buffs alike.

When: Saturday, 14th March | 13:00 – 23:00

Where: REinsTate, 1 Wythe Road, Silvertown, E16 2DN

Entry: FREE (Donations are welcomed to support the venue)

Vibe: Electronic music, hip-hop, dancing, and independent cinema.

🔊 The Music Lineup

Expect high-fidelity sound all day long, powered by the incredible Obrigado Soundsystem.

  • Headliner: A rare live performance from Finnish electro legends Mr Velcro Fastener.
  • Hip-Hop Cypher: Featuring Mr Slipz, Charlie Boy Manson, Repeat Beat Poet, Senso, and Vitamin G.
  • Takeovers & DJs: SBLMNALSIGNL (Ara-U b2b Medallion Man b2b Tania Atyabi), Atomix, Juhani Oivo (London Debut), and Sun-den (Live).

🎬 The Cinema Area

In collaboration with the Oulu Music Video Festival (OMVF) from Finland, our dedicated screening room will feature:

Sähkö (1995): The cult-classic documentary following the pioneering Finnish record label.

Finnish Music Video Showcase: A curated selection of "leftfield and obscure" music videos from 1994 to today.

Day In Day Out: A mini-doc series from the Loose Lips record label.

🍔 Food & Drink

This is a Community BBQ! We encourage everyone to bring a dish to share if you can. There will also be a cheap bar on-site for drinks throughout the day and evening.
